Has this ever happened to you? I had a phone conversation with someone who I used to consider my best friend and brother. But our lives are at completely different places and our futures aren't very certain. And as I hung up the phone, I realized, that this was probably the last time I would talk to this kid again. Strangely enough, I wasn't upset. I don't know which is worse, knowing I probably won't talk to him again or not feeling bad about it. Anyways, has anyone else experienced this, or part of it? Let me know.

. . . oh, yes! A few times. Are you OK?

Yeah, I'm fine. Happened a couple of days ago. I'm more weirded out by the fact that I'm fine and not freaking out about it. LOL. Thanks for the concern though.

All the time. Which reminds me of this Chinese saying: "天下没有不散的宴席". Loosely translated to mean "all meetings, i.e. relationships and gatherings) must come to an end", or something to that effect. In essence, it means that everyone moves on. So it's all pretty normal. But that doesn't mean we won't reconnect in future.

Good point. It would be fun to meet up again later in life when we are both in better places.
